In a small town in France, there lived a lovely little girl named Lucy. Lucy was a very imaginative child. She was always full of all kinds of wonderful dreams about the future, but sometimes she would feel a bit downcast because her dreams seemed so far away.
One day, while playing in the attic, Lucy found a dusty music box. The music box looked very old. There were some exquisitely carved patterns on it, as well as some French words that she couldn't understand. Curiously, Lucy opened the music box, and a melodious and wonderful piece of music flowed out slowly.
As the music started to play, Lucy seemed to enter a magical world. She saw herself wearing a beautiful ballet skirt, dancing gracefully on a huge stage, and the audience in the auditorium were all clapping enthusiastically for her. Then, she saw herself become a painter. Her paintings were hung all over the art gallery, and people were admiring her imaginative works. After that, she saw herself sailing a sailboat on the vast ocean, exploring those unknown islands.
Lucy realized that the music box was playing the dreams in her heart. Every note was like a key, unlocking her deep - seated longings for the future. She began to understand that although there might be a great many difficulties in realizing her dreams, as long as she had the courage to pursue them, she would surely be able to get closer to her dreams.
Since then, Lucy would listen to this music box every day. Whenever she felt downcast or wanted to give up, the music in the music box would give her strength. She began to study ballet hard, attended painting classes earnestly, and also read a great many books about sailing. This little music box became her companion on the road of chasing her dreams, constantly inspiring her courage and making her move forward step by step towards her dreams.
