In a large forest in Russia, the fog was always very thick. There was a little boy named Ivan. One day, while Ivan was playing in the forest, he accidentally ran too far and got lost. All around was a vast expanse of white fog. He was both frightened and worried, not knowing which way to go, so he could only sit under a big tree and cry softly.
Suddenly, a soft light emerged from the fog. A beautiful fairy slowly showed herself from the fog. She had long hair and glittering wings. When the fairy saw Ivan crying, she gently flew to his side and asked him in a tender voice, "Little boy, why are you crying?" Ivan looked up, saw the fairy, and was both surprised and happy. He told the fairy that he was lost and couldn't find his way home. The fairy smiled and comforted him, saying, "Don't worry. I'll help you."
The fairy took Ivan's hand and led him forward in the fog. The fog was thick, but the fairy didn't seem worried at all. She led Ivan through one path after another. Ivan followed the fairy closely, his heart full of hope, thinking that he would be able to go home soon. Along the way, the fairy also told him stories about the forest, such as which mushrooms were edible and which small animals would come out at night.
Finally, after passing through a thick forest, Ivan saw the familiar village. He jumped for joy. He turned his head to thank the fairy, but found that the fairy had disappeared into the fog. Ivan knew that it was the fairy in the fog who had helped him. He waved in the direction where the fairy had disappeared and then ran towards his home. Since then, every time Ivan entered the forest, he would be very careful, and he would often tell his friends the story of the fairy in the fog.
