In a peaceful small Japanese mountain village, there lived an old man named Grandpa Hanasaki. Grandpa Hanasaki had an extremely cute and loyal puppy. It was always by Grandpa's side, whether Grandpa was working in the fields or basking in the sun in the yard.

When Grandpa Hanasaki came back and saw his beloved puppy lying in the yard, he was extremely grief - stricken. Sadly, he buried the puppy under a tree in the yard.
However, strange things happened at night. Grandpa Hanasaki saw the puppy's soul in his dream. The puppy's soul showed no resentment at all. Instead, it wagged its tail at Grandpa. The puppy's soul led Grandpa to the tree in the yard, and Grandpa seemed to understand what the puppy meant.
