Story Summary

The story of the Rainbow Goddess delivering messages, symbolizing hope and beauty.

In the mythological world of ancient Greece, there was a beautiful rainbow goddess named Iris. Iris had a pair of glittering wings, and her figure was as gorgeous and colorful as the rainbow. Her duty was to convey messages among the gods, just like a messenger in the mortal world.

Whenever a rainbow appeared in the sky, it was Iris on her mission. She flew over mountains, rivers, and oceans, leaving the air of hope and beauty everywhere she went.

Iris Flying Towards the Temple

Once, Zeus, the king of the gods, had a very important message to convey to Aphrodite, the goddess of love and beauty. Zeus handed the scroll with the message to Iris. Iris respectfully took the scroll and then spread her beautiful wings. She flew through layers of white clouds towards the temple where Aphrodite was. Along the way, she met many little angels, and when they saw her, they all showed envious looks because Iris was like a moving rainbow, beautiful and sacred.

Iris Handing the Scroll to Aphrodite

Iris soon flew to Aphrodite's temple. Aphrodite was standing in the temple garden, surrounded by blooming flowers. Iris gently landed in front of Aphrodite and then handed her the scroll with a smile. Aphrodite took the scroll, and after reading the content, a gratified smile appeared on her face. Iris had completed her task. Once again, she flew across the sky, and wherever she flew, people looked up at the beautiful rainbow, their hearts full of hope and longing for a better life. Because they knew that the appearance of the rainbow goddess Iris meant that good things were about to happen or had already happened.

Iris Playing with Children Under the Rainbow

Sometimes, Iris would also come quietly to the mortal world. When she saw a group of children playing in the fields, she was attracted by the children's innocence and joy. She quietly flew above the children and then slowly landed among them. The children looked at this sister as beautiful as a rainbow in surprise. Iris played with the children. She taught them to sing, and the children's laughter echoed in the fields. The rainbow also hung in the sky all the time, as if guarding their happy time. Iris knew that she was not only the messenger of the gods but also brought hope and beauty to the mortal world. She hoped that this beauty would remain in people's hearts forever.
