In a beautiful small town in France, there lived two lovely children. One was named Pierre, and the other was Lucy. Their homes were not far apart, with a lush green meadow in between. However, they had different family backgrounds and living habits, which made them rarely have the chance to communicate and filled with a sense of strangeness towards each other.
The children in the town all liked flying kites very much. Pierre had a blue kite, which was made by his father himself. The tail of the kite was long, like a vivid blue silk ribbon. Lucy had a pink kite with her favorite flowers painted on it, and each flower looked as if it were alive.
One day, the wind was very strong, which was perfect for flying kites. Pierre and Lucy both came to the meadow and flew their own kites respectively. The kites flew higher and higher in the sky, just like two free little birds.
Pierre's kite accidentally flew too close to Lucy's kite and almost got tangled. They looked at each other. There was a trace of worry in Lucy's eyes, and Pierre was a little embarrassed. But this little accident broke the ice between them, and they began to chat with each other. Pierre found that Lucy was a very kind girl, and Lucy also thought Pierre was very interesting.
Since that day, they often flew kites together. But sometimes the weather was bad and they couldn't fly kites, so they had no way to meet and chat. This made them feel a little disappointed.
Once, Pierre came up with a good idea. He tied a small note to the kite, on which he wrote: "Lucy, we can't fly kites today, but I hope you are happy." Then he flew the kite and let it fly over Lucy's house. Lucy saw Pierre's kite and was very touched after taking off the note.
So, Lucy also followed Pierre's example. She tied a note to her kite, on which she wrote her thanks to Pierre and some little secrets. In this way, the kite became the messenger of their friendship.
Whether it was sunny or cloudy, they could convey their thoughts and feelings through the kite. Their friendship also grew deeper and deeper with these kite - message deliveries.
This story spread throughout the whole town, and other children also began to use kites to convey messages. Everyone's relationship became closer. Because of this little kite messenger, the town was filled with more laughter, and people also understood the importance of communication better.
