One day, the old widow in the village, Granny, came to find Koji. Granny's house had a big hole in the roof because it had not been repaired for a long time. Every time it rained, the house would leak. Granny had little money and couldn't find anyone willing to help her repair the house. When Koji saw Granny's worried face, he immediately agreed to help her. He said, "Granny, don't worry. I'll repair your house for you."

Koji carried his toolbag on his back and came to Granny's house. First, he carefully examined the structure of the house and found that in addition to the roof, several supporting wooden beams had also decayed. He selected suitable wood from the nearby forest and then started to work. He skillfully sawed the wood, installed new wooden beams, and then began to repair the roof.

After several days of hard work, Granny's house took on a new look. Granny was so happy that her eyes were filled with tears. She held Koji's hand and said, "Koji, you are such a good child. You don't know how important this house is to me." Koji smiled and said, "Granny, it's my pleasure. I'm glad to be able to help you."

Soon after, the village primary school also had problems. Many of the desks and chairs in the school had been damaged, which made it very inconvenient for the children to have classes. The principal heard about Koji helping Granny, so he came to find Koji, hoping that he could help repair the desks and chairs. Without saying a word, Koji came to the school.

As Koji helped more and more people, his reputation spread throughout the whole mountain village. Everyone knew that there was a young carpenter who was not only highly skilled but also kind - hearted, and was always willing to use his carpentry skills to help those in trouble.

Once, the village was going to hold a grand festival, but part of the auditorium stage for the event had been damaged.
