In a beautiful small pond in the United States, there lived a group of lovely tadpoles. Since they were born, they had never seen their mother. All they knew was that they should have a mother somewhere. The tadpoles had big heads and thin tails. They swam around in the pond, discussing with each other about finding their mother.
The tadpoles swam and swam, and then they saw a small fish. They quickly swam over and asked the small fish, "Are you our mother?" The small fish wagged its tail and said with a smile, "I'm not your mother. Your mother has four legs. You can keep looking." The tadpoles were a little disappointed, but they still bravely swam forward.
After a while, they saw a turtle. The tadpoles thought that since the turtle had four legs, it must be their mother. They swam to the turtle and asked, "Are you our mother?" The turtle slowly turned its head and said, "I'm not your mother. Your mother has a white belly and can jump. You can go ahead and have a look." The tadpoles were disappointed again, but they didn't give up the search.
The tadpoles swam to the edge of the pond and saw a big white goose. The big white goose was all white and looked a lot like their mother. The tadpoles raised their heads and asked, "Are you our mother?" The big white goose bent its neck and said, "I'm not your mother. Your mother has a wide mouth and big eyes." The tadpoles were a little depressed, but they encouraged each other and continued to look.
Finally, the tadpoles saw a frog. The frog had four legs, a white belly, a wide mouth and big eyes. The tadpoles swam over carefully and asked, "Are you our mother?" The frog mother said with a smile, "I am your mother." The tadpoles were extremely happy and swam to their mother one after another. Since then, the tadpoles lived happily beside their mother and gradually grew up to become little frogs.
