Once upon a time, in a small village in Japan, there lived a kind - hearted old woman. One day, the old woman came to the riverside to wash clothes as usual. While she was scrubbing the clothes by the river, suddenly she saw an extremely huge peach floating on the river. This peach was big and red, looking very tempting. The old woman was very surprised. She had lived in the village for so many years and had never seen such a large peach. So, she carefully fished the peach out and took it home.
After the old woman brought the peach home, she put it on the table. Suddenly, the peach slowly split open by itself, and there was a lovely little boy inside.
