Once upon a time, there was a king who had six sons and a little daughter. One day, the king went out hunting and never came back. Their stepmother was an evil witch. The stepmother used magic to turn the six brothers into swans and then drove them into the far - away forest.
The little daughter was very sad and determined to save her brothers. At this time, a fairy appeared in front of her and told her that only by knitting six garments with a special kind of nettle and putting them on the six swans could the magic be broken and her brothers regain their human forms. However, during the knitting process, she couldn't speak. Once she opened her mouth to speak, the magic would never be removed.
The little daughter embarked on a long and difficult journey to look for nettles. She ignored the dangers in the forest and searched everywhere for nettles. The thorns of the nettles often pricked her fingers, but she didn't care at all. She made a home in a hidden corner of the forest and knitted nettle garments silently every day.
One day, a young king discovered her while hunting in the forest. The young king was attracted by her beauty and took her back to his castle and married her. Although she really wanted to explain to the king why she couldn't speak, for the sake of her brothers, she could only keep silent.
In the castle, she still kept on knitting nettle garments. However, her silence caused a great deal of dissatisfaction and misunderstanding among many people in the court. Some people began to say that she was a strange person, and some even suspected that she was a witch. But she endured all this silently because she had only one belief in her heart - to save her brothers.
Before long, she gave birth to a lovely little prince. However, the evil stepmother learned the secret that she couldn't speak and took the opportunity to frame her as a man - eating monster. Under the pressure of the crowd, the king had no choice but to sentence her to death.
On the way to the execution ground, she still held tightly to the nettle garments she had knitted. Just as the executioner was about to carry out the execution, six swans flew down from the sky. She quickly threw the nettle garments at the swans, and as soon as the swans touched the nettle garments, they changed back into human forms.
Finally, the little daughter was able to speak. She explained everything to the king. The king regretted his decision very much. He forgave the little daughter and welcomed her six brothers to stay in his country. Since then, their family has lived happily together.
