Story Summary

The fantasy story of a mysterious log cabin in the forest.

In an ancient forest in Germany, there was a forgotten corner. There, the trees were tall and thick, and the sunlight could only sprinkle a few speckles through the layers of branches and leaves. Deep in this mysterious forest, there was a small wooden house. This small wooden house looked quite old. Its walls were built with rough logs, and the roof was covered with moss.

One day, a little boy named Hans was playing in the forest and accidentally got lost. He looked around for an exit, but all the surrounding trees looked exactly the same. Just when he was feeling frightened and desperate, he vaguely saw the outline of a small wooden house.

Hans walks towards the small wooden house

Hans walked towards the small wooden house with a tinge of curiosity and nervousness. He gently pushed open the somewhat dilapidated wooden door. The door made a "creak" sound, as if telling the story of the years. Inside the small wooden house, there was a faint smell of wood. Although it was a bit dim, Hans could see some simple wooden furniture placed in the house. There was a beautiful small wooden carving box on the table, and some strange symbols were carved on the box.

Hans couldn't help being curious and reached out to open that small box. The moment he opened the box, a soft light shone out from the box. This light was not dazzling. Instead, it added a mysterious and warm atmosphere to the small wooden house.

Hans sees the things in the box

In the box, Hans saw a crystal - clear crystal. The crystal was emitting colorful lights, and each color seemed to be telling a story. Hans gently picked up the crystal. He felt that the crystal had a warm feeling in his hand. At this moment, he noticed that some twinkling patterns began to appear on the walls of the small wooden house. These patterns were like flowing picture scrolls, telling the past of the forest and the secrets of the small wooden house.

It turned out that this small wooden house was once the place where the forest elves lived. The elves used magic to store the memories of the forest in this crystal, and Hans, this innocent child, was chosen by the forest to discover this secret.

Hans and the forest elves

As the picture scrolls on the wall unfolded, a group of forest elves appeared in front of Hans. The elves were all very small, with transparent wings and glittering eyes. They looked at Hans with friendly smiles on their faces. The elves told Hans that they had been waiting for a kind - hearted child to find this crystal because the forest was now facing some dangers, and only a child with a pure heart could save the forest with the power of the crystal.

Hans bravely agreed to the elves' request. He held the crystal tightly and followed the elves out of the small wooden house.

Hans saves the forest

Under the guidance of the elves, Hans came to a withered area in the forest. The trees here had all turned yellow and withered, and the ground was cracked. Hans held up the crystal, and the light of the crystal became stronger and stronger, illuminating the entire withered area. Magical things happened. Those withered trees began to grow tender green leaves again, and the cracked ground slowly became moist. The small animals in the forest ran out one after another, jumping merrily. They knew that the forest was saved.

Finally, Hans put the crystal back into the box in the small wooden house. He became good friends with the elves, and the elves sent him out of the forest. Since then, Hans often came to the forest to play with his elf friends, and that mysterious small wooden house still stood quietly in the depths of the forest, guarding the secrets of the forest.
