In far - away England, there was a special postman. His job was not to deliver letters to people on land, but to the stars. This postman was named Tom. Tom lived on the edge of a small town. His house had a small attic, and looking out of the attic window, one could see the sky full of stars. Tom had been full of curiosity and love for the stars since he was a child. He always felt that the stars were winking at him, as if they had a lot to say to him.
One night, when Tom was looking at the stars in the attic as usual, a meteor streaked across the sky and landed in his yard. Tom ran into the yard, surprised and curious, and found that the meteor had turned into a glittering small box with a star - shaped mark on it. Tom carefully opened the box. There was a letter and a small magic wand inside. The letter read: "Dear Tom, you are the chosen star postman. Please use this wand to open the path to the stars and deliver these letters to each star." Tom was both excited and nervous. He took the wand and waved it gently as the letter instructed. A ladder with a strange, twinkling light appeared in front of him, and the ladder extended all the way into the starry sky.
Tom took a deep breath and began to climb up the ladder. He climbed higher and higher, and the surrounding stars became closer and closer, as if they could be touched by reaching out. When he reached the end of the ladder, he found himself standing on a land made up of stars. Everything here was shiny, and the ground seemed to be paved with countless tiny diamonds. Tom took out the first letter and began to look for the star to receive the letter. He saw a particularly large blue star with a faint halo around it, like a big blue fireball. Tom thought this star looked very friendly, so he walked over and asked politely, "Hello, are you the recipient of this letter?" The blue star flickered a few times, and Tom felt that it was nodding in response. He handed the letter to the blue star, and the blue star suddenly emitted a soft light, and the light seemed to contain a feeling of joy.
Tom continued to deliver the other letters. He shuttled among the stars and encountered various stars, red, yellow, white, and some stars formed strange shapes, like animals or flowers. Each star had a different reaction when receiving the letter. Some stars would jump merrily, some stars would emit a warm light to envelop Tom, and some stars would make a pleasant sound, as if saying thank you to him.
After delivering most of the letters, Tom found that the address on one letter was very special. It was a small star hidden behind a nebula. The nebula looked like a huge cotton candy, colorful but also a bit mysterious. Tom carefully passed through the nebula and found that small, unremarkable star. It looked a little lonely and not as bright as the other stars. Tom handed the letter to it. This little star was stunned at first, and then burst out with a very strong light, and the light illuminated a large area around it. Tom could feel that this little star was very happy. It might have been waiting for this letter for a very long time.
After delivering all the letters, Tom felt very satisfied. He climbed back down the magical ladder to his yard. Since then, every night, Tom would wait for meteors to bring him letters from the stars again, and he was also looking forward to the next star - postman journey very much.
