Story Summary

A dancing mango tree teaches children to protect nature.

In a small village in India, there was an extremely magical mango tree. This mango tree grew very tall and large, with lush branches and leaves, like a huge green umbrella. The children in the village all liked this mango tree very much and they often played under it.

One day, when the children came to the mango tree as usual, they suddenly found that the mango tree began to shake gently, as if it were dancing. The children's eyes widened in surprise. They had never seen such a scene before.

The mango tree swaying its branches and leaves

The children curiously approached the mango tree. At this time, a face appeared on the trunk of the mango tree. It smiled and said to the children, "Children, I am the tree spirit of this mango tree. I see that you are always playing around me, and I am very happy, but I also have something to say to you." The children listened attentively. The tree spirit continued, "Do you know? Nature is our home. Trees like me, flowers, grass, and small animals are all members of this big family. But now, many people are destroying nature, cutting down trees and polluting rivers. If this continues, our home will no longer be beautiful and may even disappear."

The children listening carefully to the tree spirit

The children were very sad after hearing what the tree spirit said. One of the children said, "Tree spirit, what can we do to protect nature?" The tree spirit replied, "Actually, it's very simple. You can start from the little things around you. For example, don't trample on flowers and grass randomly, save every drop of water, and also, tell your parents not to cut down too many trees. If you see someone destroying nature, be brave enough to stop them."

The children promoting nature protection in the village

After hearing the tree spirit's words, the children immediately took action. They ran around the village, telling the adults in the village what the tree spirit had said. Some children even made some small signs that read "Everyone is responsible for protecting nature" and then inserted these signs in every corner of the village. The adults, seeing the children so actively protecting nature, were also deeply moved. They all said that they would love nature more in the future.

Since then, the people in this small village have been especially loving towards nature. And that magical mango tree still thrives in the village. Sometimes it still dances gently in the breeze, as if it is giving a thumbs - up to people's nature - protecting behaviors.
