Once upon a time, in a small village in Denmark, there was a little shepherd boy. His daily job was to take the village's flock of sheep to the nearby grassland to graze. This shepherd boy was a very naughty and lying - prone child.
One day, he was extremely bored. Looking at the peaceful village and the sheep grazing quietly, he suddenly wanted to play a prank. So, he ran into the village and shouted loudly, "The wolf is coming! The wolf is coming!" When the villagers heard this, they immediately put down their work, picked up sticks and rushed towards the grassland. But when they arrived at the grassland, panting heavily, they only saw the shepherd boy laughing heartily there, and there was no sign of the wolf at all.
The villagers were very angry and blamed the shepherd boy one after another for not being supposed to lie. But the shepherd boy didn't take the villagers' words to heart. He thought it was very interesting to tease everyone like this. A few days later, the shepherd boy was bored again, and he shouted once more, "The wolf is coming! The wolf is coming!" The kind - hearted villagers believed his words again and hurried over once more. As a result, they found that they had been deceived by the shepherd boy again.
After some time, a wolf really came to the grassland. The wolf opened its big bloody mouth and rushed towards the flock of sheep. The shepherd boy was extremely frightened. He shouted desperately, "The wolf is coming! The wolf is coming!" But this time, the villagers thought he was lying again, and no one came to his rescue. In the end, the shepherd boy could only watch helplessly as the wolf carried away several sheep and he himself was also injured.
This story tells us that lying is a bad behavior, which will make us lose others' trust. Once we lose trust, when we are really in danger and need help, perhaps no one will believe us.
