Once upon a time, in a small town in Denmark, there lived a little girl. This little girl was extremely cute, but she had a flaw, that is, she was particularly vain. One day, the little girl saw a very beautiful pair of red shoes in the window of a store. These red shoes were made of the finest leather, and there were glittering gems inlaid on the uppers. The red shoes kept jumping on the roots and stones in the forest, and the little girl's feet were rubbed raw, and her blood dyed the red shoes red.
Just when the little girl was in despair, she saw a lumberjack. She used all her strength to ask the lumberjack for help. The lumberjack, seeing the little girl in such a state, was very sympathetic. He picked up his axe and wanted to chop the red shoes off the girl's feet. However, the red shoes were too nimble. Every time the axe was about to hit, it would make the little girl jump away.
