Once upon a time, in a small town in Germany, there lived a very poor young man. He lived in a dilapidated cottage on the edge of the town and worried about making a living every day. One day, while he was looking for wild fruits to eat in the forest, he found a glittering ring in a hidden tree hole. The ring looked very old and had some strange symbols engraved on it. Curiously, the young man put the ring on his finger. Suddenly, he felt a mysterious power flowing into his body.
He discovered that it was a magic ring. As long as he thought of a place in his mind, the ring would shine and then take him to that place. The young man was very excited. First of all, he thought of an ancient castle full of treasures in legend. So, the magic ring emitted a strong light and instantly took him to the front of that castle. The castle looked gloomy, but the young man, with his mind full of treasures, walked in without hesitation. The castle was full of various traps, but under the protection of the magic ring, he was able to turn danger into safety every time.
Finally, he reached the innermost part of the castle and saw a huge pile of treasures. Gold, silver, and jewels were piled up like a mountain. The young man was extremely happy and began to fill his pockets with all kinds of treasures. However, when he had stuffed too much and wanted to leave, he found that the gate of the castle had closed, and many ghosts appeared around him. The ghosts surrounded him, making terrifying cries and trying to snatch his treasures. The young man was very frightened and desperately called for help from the magic ring.
Once again, the magic ring showed its power. It emitted a strong beam of light, dispersed the ghosts, and then opened the castle gate. The young man fled from the castle in a panic. But he found that although he had escaped from the castle, those treasures made him very heavy. He walked very slowly, and some robbers who wanted to snatch his treasures also appeared around him. Only then did the young man realize that these treasures brought him not happiness, but danger and trouble.
So, he decided to throw away these treasures. When he had thrown away all the treasures, he felt much lighter. He used the magic ring to return to his small town and his dilapidated cottage. Since then, the young man no longer envied wealth. He learned to cherish the ordinary life he had. He still worked hard every day, but there was always a contented smile on his face. Because he knew that true happiness was not about how much wealth one had, but about inner peace and satisfaction.
