In an ancient English town, there was a little boy named Tom. One night, while chasing a beautiful hare, he accidentally walked deep into the forest and soon lost his way. The trees all around looked extremely tall and spooky in the darkness. Tom was so frightened that he began to shout for his mom and dad loudly. But apart from his own echo, he could hear nothing.
Just when Tom was feeling desperate, the moonlight shone through the gaps between the leaves. In that silvery glow, a tiny figure emerged. It was a moonlight fairy. She had transparent wings and emitted a soft light, just like the moonlight. The moonlight fairy flew up to Tom and said in a clear voice, "Don't be afraid, little boy. I'll take you home." Tom looked at this beautiful fairy in amazement, and his heart was filled with hope.
The moonlight fairy gently took Tom's hand and then slowly flew up with him. They flew over one tree after another. Tom looked down and saw that the small animals in the forest were all sleeping peacefully under the moonlight. The wind whistled in his ears, but Tom didn't feel cold at all because the fairy's hand was so warm. Tom asked the fairy curiously, "Why are you here?" The fairy replied, "I live in the moonlight. Whenever a child gets lost at night, I will appear to help them."
Soon, they flew out of the forest. Tom saw the lights of the town in the distance, which was the direction of his familiar home. He shouted with joy. The moonlight fairy flew towards the town with him, getting closer and closer to the lights. None of the people in the town knew that on this night, a little boy was returning from the edge of danger to his warm home with the help of the moonlight fairy.
The moonlight fairy put Tom down in his yard and then said to him with a smile, "Now you're home, little boy. Don't run around randomly anymore." Tom said gratefully, "Thank you, moonlight fairy." Just as he turned around and was about to rush into the house, the fairy had disappeared into the moonlight. Tom rushed into the house and hugged his anxiously waiting mom and dad tightly. This night, because of the appearance of the moonlight fairy, became an unforgettable and wonderful memory in his heart.
