Because the winding roads were difficult to travel on, the envoy's carriage was delayed on the road for a long time, and when he arrived at the palace, he was already very tired and angry. This made the Muddle - Headed King lose face, but he still didn't realize that it was the problem of the roads.
At this time, a wise man stepped forward. He said to the king, "Your Majesty, look at these winding roads. They are like knotted ropes, trapping our kingdom. We should conform to nature and the needs of everyone instead of making random changes just for novelty." The king listened to the wise man's words and began to reflect on his previous decision. He found that he indeed hadn't considered these problems and had made the decision on impulse.
Finally, the king realized his mistake. He ordered that the roads be changed back to their original state. Since then, he no longer dared to make absurd decisions easily and often consulted this wise man on various issues. Thus, the whole kingdom regained its former prosperity.
