In a small Danish village, the long winter had finally passed and spring arrived quietly. There was a lovely little girl named Lily in the village. She had curly golden hair and a pair of eyes as clear as blue lake water. When the first spring breeze blew, Lily sensed the arrival of spring.
In the morning, the sunlight shone on her little bed. As soon as Lily opened her eyes, she couldn't wait to run to the window. She saw that in the fields outside the window, the originally withered and yellow grass began to sprout tender green shoots, like laying a soft green carpet on the earth. In the forest in the distance, small flower buds also emerged on the bare branches.
Lily put on her favorite little dress, tied a red bow, and carried a small wooden basket as she ran into the fields. There were colorful flowers everywhere in the fields, including red tulips, yellow daffodils, and white daisies. Lily happily shuttled among the flowers. She gently picked some flowers and put them into the basket. Her laughter echoed in the fields, like the most beautiful notes in spring. The butterflies around were attracted by her laughter and fluttered around her one after another, as if celebrating the arrival of spring with her.
Lily brought the basket full of flowers to the edge of the forest. There were many small animals here also enjoying the beauty of spring. She saw little squirrels jumping around among the branches, busy collecting pinecones; little rabbits poked their heads out of their burrows, their ears twitching as they curiously looked at everything around. Lily looked at these small animals in surprise. She had never been in such close contact with them before. She gently crouched down, and the little squirrel actually jumped in front of her without any fear. Lily took out a small flower from the basket and gave it to the little squirrel. The little squirrel took the flower with its little paw and then quickly ran back to the tree, as if it was going to treasure this gift.
Lily brought these wonderful experiences back home. She told her parents everything she had seen outside. Her parents decided that the whole family would go for a picnic in the forest. They brought delicious food, blankets, and musical instruments. On a clearing in the forest, they spread out the blanket and laid out the food. The birds sang merrily on the branches, as if playing music for them. The family sat on the blanket, enjoying the delicious food and feeling the warm spring sunshine and fresh air. Lily picked up her little recorder and played a melodious tune, which intertwined with the birds' singing. It was a warm and happy moment, and they all knew that spring was a season full of hope and beauty.
