Story Summary

Little bees teach the importance of hard work and cooperation.

In a large garden in India, there lived a group of little bees. There was a little bee named Buzz. Although it was small in size, it was full of wisdom. The flowers in this garden were colorful and fragrant, which was a paradise for the little bees and also the place where they worked hard.

Buzz always got up very early and then flew into the flower bushes to start collecting honey. It knew that only through its own hard work could it harvest sweet honey. Some of its little friends were still being lazy in the beehive. Buzz would fly over and gently touch them with its antennae, saying, "Friends, we are bees. Diligence is our virtue. Only by collecting honey diligently can we get through the upcoming winter."

Bees are talking in the beehive

However, some little bees didn't take it seriously. They thought Buzz was too wordy and thought that collecting honey was a very hard job. Buzz was not angry but patiently explained, "Each of us bees has our own task. Only by working together can we fill our beehive with honey. If we are lazy now, there will not be enough food at that time and everyone will go hungry."

Buzz also told its friends that the nectar of each flower was different. Some flowers required several more bees to work together to collect the nectar. Just like some large flowers, the stamens were very deep. It was very difficult for a single bee to collect the nectar deep inside. But if several bees worked together, one bee sucked the nectar outside while the other bees passed the nectar out from the inside, so that more nectar could be easily collected.

A group of bees are collecting honey together

After hearing Buzz's words, those little bees who were originally lazy began to feel ashamed and they decided to follow Buzz to collect honey. So, the little bees began to divide the work and cooperate. Some little bees were responsible for finding the flowers with the most nectar, some were responsible for passing the nectar, and some were responsible for guarding the beehive to prevent other insects from stealing the honey.

Under Buzz's leadership, the little bees became more and more diligent and their cooperation became more and more tacit. As time passed, there was more and more honey in the beehive, which was enough for the little bees to get through the cold winter.

This story has been passed down from generation to generation among the bee groups in India. Every little bee knows the importance of diligence and cooperation. They are all like Buzz, trying hard to make their beehive full of happiness and sweetness.
