In a beautiful valley in India, there lived a clever goat. This goat was very strong, and there was always a glint of wisdom in its eyes. There was a lush meadow in the valley, and the goat came here to graze every day. However, this meadow was also eyed by a greedy wolf.
One day, when the goat was grazing on the meadow as usual, the wolf showed up. The wolf bared its sharp teeth and said fiercely to the goat, "You little goat, today is your doom. This meadow will be mine from now on." Although the goat was a little frightened in its heart, it didn't show it. Its eyes rolled, and it came up with a great idea. The goat pretended to be very scared and said to the wolf, "Brother Wolf, I know I can't escape today. But before I die, I want you to see a new skill I've just learned." The wolf asked curiously, "What skill?" The goat said, "I can bark like a dog, and very realistically." The wolf thought it was very interesting and said, "Then show me quickly."
So the goat began to bark like a dog, "Woof! Woof! Woof!" It was so lifelike. When the wolf heard it, it was startled. It knew that dogs were very fierce animals and often appeared in groups. The wolf was afraid that there were dogs nearby, so it said nervously to the goat, "You strange goat, how can you bark like a dog? Are there dogs coming here? I don't want to meet those annoying guys." The goat was secretly happy when it saw the wolf's frightened look, but it still pretended to be innocent and said, "I don't know either, Brother Wolf. I was just imitating." The wolf didn't dare to stay any longer and ran away immediately.
The goat looked at the wolf's embarrassed figure as it ran away and smiled triumphantly. It had successfully scared the wolf away with its wisdom and protected itself and this beloved meadow. Since then, the goat still grazed happily on this meadow every day, and its wisdom was praised by other small animals in the valley.
