Cassandra's Prophecy

Cassandra's Prophecy

Story Summary

The Trojan princess predicted the fall of the city but no one believed her, which was a tragic story.

In the ancient city of Troy, there was a beautiful and special princess named Cassandra. She possessed a special ability - the power to foresee the future. However, this ability did not bring her happiness but instead became the origin of her tragedy.

One day, Cassandra suddenly fell into a strange state in her palace. Her eyes became vacant as if she were seeing distant scenes. She saw Troy engulfed in a sea of fire, enemies pouring in like a tide, and the common people fleeing in all directions, with cries filling the entire city. It was a dreadful future. Cassandra woke up from this prophetic state, her face full of horror and worry.

Cassandra Telling the Prophecy to the People

Cassandra knew she had to do something to prevent this terrible future from happening. She hurriedly ran to the hall of the palace, where the elders of Troy and some important figures had gathered. Her voice trembled with excitement as she began to tell everyone the prophecy she had seen: "Respected elders, I have seen that our city is about to face a catastrophe. The enemy will break through our city walls, and the great fire will devour our homes. We must prepare for defense in advance!" However, when they heard her words, no one took them seriously. They thought Cassandra might have had a nightmare or was deliberately making up lies to disrupt people's minds.

Cassandra was very worried. She tried to describe in detail the scenes she had seen, the appearance of the enemies, and the all - encompassing fire. But the people just shook their heads, and some even showed disdainful expressions. They thought Cassandra was a young and inexperienced girl, and how could they easily believe her words? In their eyes, Troy was so strong, with high walls and brave soldiers. How could it be easily broken through?

Cassandra's Helplessness

Cassandra looked at everyone's distrustful eyes and felt extremely helpless. She was in the empty hall, surrounded by cold stone pillars. Her voice echoed in the hall, but no one was willing to believe her. She stood there alone, with tears welling up in her eyes. She didn't understand why no one believed her. Was it because she was a woman? Or was it because the prophecy was too terrifying and everyone was unwilling to face it?

As the days passed by, Troy was still as calm as usual. People carried on with their lives as normal. The soldiers patrolled leisurely on the city walls, and the merchants sold their goods in the market. But Cassandra's heart was always overshadowed by a cloud of gloom. She knew that the terrible future was approaching step by step.

The Eve of the War

Even though no one believed her, Cassandra still didn't give up. Every day, she would climb onto the city wall, looking into the distance, hoping to find some clues to prove her prophecy. She saw a few birds flying across the sky in the distance from time to time, and farmers working in the fields outside the city. Everything seemed so calm. But in her heart, there was a strong uneasiness. She knew that this calm was just the lull before the storm.

Finally, that day arrived. On the distant horizon, a large, dark - massed army appeared. They swept towards Troy like a dark cloud. At this time, people remembered Cassandra's prophecy, but it was already too late. The enemy's attack was very fierce. Although the soldiers of Troy fought hard, it was still difficult to resist.

The Fall of Troy

The fire spread throughout the city, the city walls were broken through, and the enemies flooded in like a tide. Troy was in chaos, with the common people fleeing everywhere, and cries and screams intertwined. Cassandra stood in the ruins of the city, looking at all this in front of her. Her heart was full of grief. Her prophecy had come true, but no one had believed her, which ultimately led to such a tragedy. Tears streamed down her cheeks, looking especially desolate in the light of the fire. Her eyes were full of despair. Once the beautiful city of Troy had now become a ruin, and she could only watch all this happen helplessly.
