A long, long time ago, there was a hero named Odysseus. He led his crew to sail on the sea, and their ship drifted on the rough sea for a very long time.
One day, they arrived at a mysterious island. On this island lived a very terrifying one - eyed giant named Polyphemus. Polyphemus was extremely tall, and he had only one huge eye, like a large wheel, which looked very frightening.
As soon as Odysseus and his crew landed on the island, they were discovered by Polyphemus. With his great strength, Polyphemus seized Odysseus and his crew and took them to his cave. The cave was dark and full of jagged rocks everywhere. Polyphemus imprisoned them in the cave and was going to eat them one by one. Odysseus' crew were very frightened and didn't know what to do.
Odysseus was a very clever man and wasn't overcome by fear. He came up with a plan. He took out the fine wine they had brought on the ship, which was a very precious bottle of wine. When Polyphemus came to the cave again, Odysseus walked towards him with a big smile and said, "Great Polyphemus, you are so strong and mighty. I have a bottle of fine wine here and want to present it to you." Polyphemus had never drunk such delicious wine before. He happily took it and drank it all in one gulp.
After drinking the wine, Polyphemus soon got drunk and passed out. He fell to the ground and began to snore loudly, and his snoring echoed in the cave. Seeing the opportunity had come, Odysseus and his crew quietly walked up to Polyphemus. They found a huge wooden stick, which they had found in the cave. Odysseus and his crew worked together and sharpened one end of the stick on the fire.
Then, Odysseus and his crew raised the sharpened stick high and, with all their strength, stabbed it into Polyphemus' huge eye. Polyphemus was awakened by the great pain and roared loudly. The sound was like thunder, and the whole cave shook. But his eye had been blinded, and he could see nothing.
Odysseus knew that it was a good chance for them to escape. He led his crew and, while Polyphemus couldn't see, quietly walked towards the exit of the cave. They carefully avoided Polyphemus' waving arms and finally managed to escape from the cave. They ran to their ship and rowed away quickly from this dreadful island. Polyphemus roared angrily in the cave, but he could do nothing to Odysseus. In this way, Odysseus defeated Polyphemus' brute force with his wisdom.
