A long, long time ago in India, there was a beautiful goddess named Parvati. She desired a child so much that she prayed to Lord Shiva. Lord Shiva heard her prayer and promised to give her a son.
Before long, Parvati gave birth to a lovely little boy. The boy was extremely handsome, and Parvati doted on him.
One day, Parvati went to take a bath and told little Ganesh to guard the door and not let anyone in. At that time, little Ganesh didn't know that the person coming was his father, Lord Shiva. When Lord Shiva returned and saw a little boy guarding the door and not allowing him to enter, he was very angry. Because he didn't recognize that this little boy was his own son, in a fit of anger, he cut off the boy's head.
When Parvati came out of her bath and saw that her son had been beheaded, she was heartbroken. She wept to Lord Shiva, and Lord Shiva also deeply regretted his hasty action.
To make up for his mistake, Lord Shiva decided to find a new head for the little boy. He sent his subordinates to search everywhere. Finally, they found an elephant sleeping, and Lord Shiva took the elephant's head and attached it to the boy's body. In this way, the little boy came back to life and became a figure with an elephant's head and a human body. He was Ganesh.
Although Ganesh had a strange appearance, he was very intelligent and full of wisdom. He studied various knowledge hard and soon became a learned god. He knew the importance of filial piety very well. Although Lord Shiva had accidentally cut off his head, he still forgave his father and always respected and loved him.
Ganesh often showed up in front of people, teaching people to be filial to their parents and respect their elders. He would also share his wisdom with everyone, helping people solve the problems in their lives. He used his own experience to tell everyone not to make mistakes because of a momentary impulse, and at the same time, to learn to forgive others' mistakes. Moreover, wisdom is a very precious treasure. Only by continuous learning and accumulation can one better face various challenges in life. Since then, Ganesh has become a very important deity in the hearts of the Indian people and is respected and loved by them.
