Under a small earthen slope, there lives a group of lovely little ants. The ants' home is right in this earthen slope. It is a small cave with a winding interior, like a tiny maze.
On this day, the weather became gloomy. An old ant looked up at the sky and sensed that a heavy rain was about to come. The old ant knew that if the heavy rain started, their home would be flooded. So, the old ant quickly made a decision: to move!
The old ant began to gather all the ants. It stood on a small pebble, waving its antennae, which is the way ants communicate with each other. After receiving the signal, the little ants ran out from all corners of the cave one after another and gathered around the old ant.
Every little ant knew its own task. The young and strong ants were responsible for carrying relatively large pieces of food, such as plump grains of rice. They tightly clamped the rice with their powerful jaws and then moved step by step towards the direction of the new home. And those smaller ants were not idle either. Several small ants worked together to carry some small crumbs. Although the small crumbs seemed insignificant, they were also very important food reserves for the ants.
During the process of carrying, a little ant accidentally fell down, and the small biscuit it was carrying also dropped to the ground. The little ants nearby saw this and immediately stopped and came to help. Some little ants helped up the fallen comrade, while others bit the small biscuit again, and then they all continued to move forward together.
The ants' new home is at a higher place and they need to climb up a small slope. This small slope is like a huge mountain for the tiny ants. But the ants didn't show the slightest intention of retreating. The ants in the front tightly grasped the ground with their claws and climbed upwards vigorously, while the ants at the back pushed the butts of the ants in the front. Everyone worked together with one heart and shouted a unified slogan: "One, two, one, two."
Although some ants were panting with exhaustion, they never gave up. In this way, the ants climbed up the small slope one by one.
Finally, the ants reached their new home. The new home is also a cave. Although it is a bit crude, it is very dry and safe. The ants began to be busy tidying up. They stored the food in the appropriate places and started to clean up the small stones and debris in the cave.
The old ant looked at the busy figures of everyone and showed a gratified smile. With the joint efforts of everyone, the ants' new home became orderly. Just at this time, it began to rain cats and dogs in the sky, but the ants were already safe and sound in their new home. They huddled closely together, enjoying the warmth of the new home and also being proud of their unity and cooperation.
