In the beautiful forest, there lived Mother Rabbit and her three baby rabbits. The baby rabbits were all very lovely. Mother Rabbit loved her babies very much and always took good care of them.
One day, Mother Rabbit was going to pick mushrooms in the forest. Before leaving, she said to the baby rabbits, "My darlings, Mommy is going to pick mushrooms. You should close the door well. Don't open it no matter who knocks. Only open the door when you hear Mommy's voice." The baby rabbits all nodded obediently and said, "All right, Mommy. We got it."
After Mother Rabbit left, the baby rabbits happily played in the house. After a while, there was a knock on the door, accompanied by a rough voice, "Little rabbits, be good. Open the door. I'm Mommy." When the baby rabbits heard this, they thought the voice was wrong. It wasn't Mommy's voice. So the cleverest eldest baby rabbit said, "This isn't Mommy's voice. We can't open the door." When the big bad wolf outside the door heard that the baby rabbits wouldn't open the door, it said again, "I'm really your mommy. Open the door quickly. Mommy has picked a lot of your favorite mushrooms." But the baby rabbits still weren't fooled. They said, "You're not our mommy. Go away."
Seeing that it couldn't deceive the baby rabbits, the big bad wolf tried to disguise its voice. It pinched its nose at the door and imitated Mother Rabbit's voice again, "My darlings, Mommy is back. Open the door quickly." The baby rabbits were still very smart. They listened for a while and said, "You still aren't Mommy. We won't open the door." The big bad wolf had no choice but to walk back and forth at the door, thinking of other bad ideas.
After a while, Mother Rabbit came back after picking mushrooms. When she saw the big bad wolf at the door, she was very angry. Mother Rabbit put down her basket and quietly walked behind the big bad wolf. Suddenly, she shouted loudly, "You bad guy. How dare you deceive my babies!" The big bad wolf was startled. It turned around and saw Mother Rabbit, and then ran away as fast as it could. Mother Rabbit ran to the door, knocked on it and said, "My darlings, Mommy is back." When the baby rabbits heard it was Mommy's voice, they quickly opened the door and threw themselves into Mommy's arms. Mother Rabbit hugged the baby rabbits and said, "My darlings are so good. Remember, don't open the door to strangers casually." The baby rabbits said happily, "All right, Mommy. We'll remember."
