In the great forest of Sweden, there lives a hard - working little squirrel. The little squirrel loves collecting nuts very much, and its den is full of all kinds of nuts. One day, the little squirrel had a sudden idea. It wanted to open a nut store and share the nuts it had collected with other friends in the forest.
The little squirrel found a big tree. There was a large tree hole in the middle of the trunk. It carefully decorated the tree hole, cleaned it thoroughly, and made many small shelves inside. Then, the little squirrel placed the nuts it had collected on the shelves one by one. There were plump hazelnuts, crispy almonds, and big walnuts. Thus, the little squirrel's nut store opened.
As soon as the nut store opened, it attracted a lot of small animals. The little rabbit hopped over. Smelling the aroma of the nuts, its eyes lit up. The little squirrel warmly welcomed the little rabbit. The little rabbit picked some hazelnuts and happily said to the little squirrel, "Little squirrel, your nuts look so fresh. They must be very delicious." The little squirrel said with a smile, "Of course. I collected them carefully."
Then, the little monkey came too. The little monkey swung from tree to tree and jumped directly to the entrance of the nut store. The little monkey likes almonds best. It picked and chose in front of the almond shelf. The little squirrel patiently introduced the characteristics of different almonds to the little monkey at the side. The little monkey chose a big handful of almonds and left contentedly.
As more and more small animals learned about the little squirrel's nut store, a long queue would form in front of the nut store every day. There were little deer, little hedgehogs, little birds and so on. Sometimes the little squirrel was extremely busy, but it was very happy in its heart. It thought that being able to share the nuts it liked with everyone was a very happy thing.
However, one day, there was a very heavy rain in the forest. The rain lasted for several days, and many small animals couldn't go out. The little squirrel's nut store was deserted, and not a single nut was sold. Looking at the nuts full on the shelves, the little squirrel became a little worried. It was afraid that the nuts would go bad because of the damp.
The little squirrel began to think of ways. It found some dry leaves in the store, and then wrapped the nuts one by one with the leaves and placed them in a relatively dry place. Although there was a lot of work, the little squirrel didn't feel tired at all.
Finally, the rain stopped and the sky cleared. The forest was full of vitality again, and the small animals came out of their homes one after another. They came to the little squirrel's nut store again. Seeing that the little squirrel had preserved the nuts so well, they were all very impressed. The little squirrel's nut store became lively again, and the little squirrel continued to happily run its nut store and share the delicious nuts with its friends in the forest.
