Story Summary

The brave story of little boy Peter outwitting the big bad wolf.

In a small Russian village, there lived a brave little boy named Peter. Peter lived with his grandfather, and beside the village was a thick forest. One day, his grandfather warned Peter not to play in the forest because there was a big, bad wolf in it. But Peter wasn't afraid at all. He was full of curiosity about the outside world.

Peter looks at the forest beside the fence

While his grandfather wasn't paying attention, Peter secretly ran to the fence and stared intently at the forest. He saw that the trees in the forest were lush and green, and the sunlight shone through the gaps in the leaves, forming patches of light on the ground. Even though he knew there was a wolf, he thought he could protect himself. At this time, a little bird flew over and landed on the fence. The little bird told Peter that it had seen the tracks of the wolf in the forest, but Peter didn't show any sign of backing off.

Peter and the little bird are chatting at the edge of the forest

Peter started chatting with the little bird. The little bird said that the wolf was deep in the forest and was very sly and fierce. Peter told the little bird that he had a plan and that he was going to catch the wolf. The little bird was a bit worried after hearing this, but Peter was full of confidence. Peter saw a big tree beside him and had an idea. He pulled a long rope from the tree and then set a trap on the ground. He asked the little bird to draw the wolf's attention, while he hid behind the big tree and waited.

The wolf falls into the trap

The little bird flew around above the wolf's head. The wolf was very angry and chased after the little bird. By accident, the wolf fell into the trap set by Peter. The wolf struggled in the trap and couldn't climb out no matter how hard it tried.

Peter and the little animals celebrate

Peter and the little animals were very happy to see the wolf fall into the trap. They gathered around the trap, cheering and jumping for joy. Peter had successfully caught the wolf and protected himself and the little animals. They celebrated their victory in the forest and then happily returned to the village together. From then on, Peter became a little hero in the village, and his brave deeds were told and retold by everyone.
