In a small town in Sweden, there lived a kind - hearted young carpenter named Carl. Carl was highly skilled at his craft and could create all kinds of exquisite items out of wood. However, Carl had no family and always lived alone. He knew that on the outskirts of the town there was an orphanage where many children without families lived. Carl thought to himself that those children must be very lonely and it would be great if he could do something for them. So, Carl decided to use his skills to make gifts for the children in the orphanage.

Carl came to his workshop, which was filled with all sorts of wood. He carefully selected the wood as he wanted to find the most suitable wood for making toys. He picked up one piece of wood after another, gently stroking the grain of the wood with his hand and feeling its texture. He chose several pieces of soft - textured and clearly - grained wood, which were like treasures in his eyes. He placed the selected wood on the workbench and got ready to start making the gifts.

Carl sat at the workbench, picked up his tools, and began to carefully make toys. His hands were so dexterous, as if they had magic. He used a saw to cut the wood into appropriate shapes and then used a carving knife to carve out beautiful patterns on the wood. Wood shavings flew around him like little snowflakes. He carved out cute little animal shapes, including bunnies, kittens, and puppies. He also painted bright colors on the toys, making them look more vivid.

Carl put the finished toys into boxes one by one. He found some beautiful ribbons and tied the boxes up beautifully. Looking at these boxes full of gifts, a happy smile spread across his face. He imagined the happy expressions on the children in the orphanage when they received these gifts, and his heart felt warm.

Carl brought the gifts to the orphanage. The gate of the orphanage looked a bit shabby but was full of a warm atmosphere. Carl knocked gently on the door, feeling both nervous and excited. Voices of children came from inside, and the children peeked at Carl curiously through the window. Carl walked into the orphanage, and the children gathered around him.

Carl distributed the gifts to the children. The children opened the gifts and, seeing the beautiful toys inside, all cheered with joy. They held the toys, some playing with bunnies, some with kittens, and some with puppies. Happy smiles spread across the children's faces, and Carl was also very happy. He knew that his love was passed on to the children through these gifts, making them feel warm.
