In a beautiful small town in Denmark, there is a very magnificent windmill. This windmill is tall and gorgeous. Its blades rotate slowly in the gentle breeze, making a whooshing sound. The people around rely on the windmill to grind grains and pump water for irrigation, and as a result, the windmill becomes very proud. It thinks that it is the most important thing in this small town. Without it, everyone's life would be in a mess.
One day, a traveler came to this small town. When he saw this proud windmill, he said to it, "Although you are great, you shouldn't be so proud. Everything in this world has its own significance of existence, and no one is irreplaceable." The windmill was very angry after hearing the traveler's words. It thought that the traveler didn't understand its importance at all. So, it rotated its blades more forcefully, trying to prove its strength.
However, just when it was rotating at its fastest speed, suddenly, with a "creak", one of the blades broke. The rotational speed of the windmill slowed down all at once, and it could no longer work as easily as before. It began to panic a little, not knowing what to do. At this time, the people in the small town rushed over one after another. They didn't blame the windmill but instead worked together to start repairing it.
With the efforts of the people, the windmill was quickly repaired. When it started to rotate again, the windmill felt extremely warm and grateful. It realized that although it could do a lot of things for everyone, without people's maintenance and repair, it would be worthless. Since then, the windmill has become humble. It no longer proudly thinks that it is irreplaceable but lives in harmony with the people in the small town.
