Story Summary

The story of a tiger using its wisdom to resolve disputes in the forest.

In a large forest in India, there lived many animals. There were clever and strong tigers, lively and smart monkeys, gentle and honest elephants, as well as timid rabbits and cunning foxes, etc. This forest had always been full of vitality and harmony, but one day, disputes quietly arose.

It was originally due to the ownership of the water source. The elephant thought that the water source was close to its territory and should be guarded by itself; while the monkeys thought that they were the first to discover this water source and it should belong to them. Both sides held their own opinions and would not give in to each other, and the forest was filled with a tense atmosphere.

The tiger is sitting on a stone thinking

Seeing this situation, the tiger decided to use its wisdom to resolve this dispute. First, it summoned the elephant and the monkeys together and listened carefully to their respective reasons. After listening, the tiger did not make a decision immediately. Instead, it walked around the forest and carefully observed the surrounding environment.

It found that there was a large open space beside the water source. If a small dam could be built here, not only could the water in the water source be stored more, but also it could meet the needs of more animals.

The tiger is telling the plan to the animals

The tiger told this idea to the elephant, the monkeys and other animals. It said, "This water source should not belong to only one side, but to our entire forest. Let's build a dam together beside it. In this way, there will be more water, and everyone doesn't need to fight anymore. The elephant is strong and can carry wood and stones; the monkeys are agile and can help pass things in the trees; other animals can also do what they can."

The animals listened to the tiger's words and all thought this idea was very good. So, everyone took action one after another. Under the leadership of the tiger, they worked together to build the dam.

The animals are playing happily together at the water source

After a period of hard work, the dam was finally built. The water in the water source became more abundant, and the animals no longer had to worry about having no water to drink. The forest regained its former harmony and joy. Everyone was very grateful for the tiger's wisdom. Since then, the tiger has had more prestige in the forest, and the animals also understand the importance of unity and cooperation better.
